Happy 1st Anniversary to The Himrich Library!
Well, slightly belated anniversary. But I did start this newsletter-blog-thing last November, so now is as good a time as any to celebrate its anniversary. It’s true that we’re still small, but I am proud of the modest progress I’ve made in building up this site. By this time next year, I plan for THL to be even bigger! And that plan involves…
Social media: As Twitter goes out in a blaze of indignity, I have set up shop on both Mastodon and Instagram. You can follow me there for updates, photos, everyday thoughts and more fun stuff.
Scheduling: Starting in 2023, I’ll be planning out monthly schedules that will help me post here on a more frequent basis. Nothing motivates like a deadline!
New subjects: I want to starting writing more reviews for books/film/tv, as well as articles about writing in general. Look for those starting early next year.
Subscriber Chat: I’m going to enable chat threads for this blog, which will allow for greater discussion and community among my subscribers.
Writing challenges: I’d love to push out of my comfort zone as a storyteller, whether that’s tackling a genre I’ve never tried before or doing a NaNoWriMo-style race to finish a story in a set time period. While documenting each step of the process, of course!
Thank you for sticking with me this far. We’ve got a few more posts left this year, but for now, I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season. Hopefully you’re looking forward to 2023 just as much as I am!
